Granted by the Hans Böckler Foundation, the Technical University of Munich (TUM Chair of Urban Structure and Transport Planning) and Nürtingen-Geislingen University (NGU Professorship in Automotive Management: Sustainable Mobilities) are jointly running the interdisciplinary and international Doctoral Research Group mobil.LAB. In its second generation mobil.LAB contributes to the common topic „Shaping Mobility Cultures“ through individual research, joint publications, workshops and conferences. The group is based at TUM with regular meetings at NGU and focused on high-quality doctoral research. The fellows benefit from the unique academic environment built by the two universities, where scientific exchange between current and former fellows, associated researchers, and external academics and practitioners is essential. More details can be found at www.sv.bgu.tum.de/mobillab.  From 1st April 2018, a Post-Doc position is open for a candidate interested in the coordination of the mobil.LAB activities and with the opportunity to develop an individual research and teaching agenda. 
 
Based on this context, we are urgently seeking for a  Research Associate (Wissenschaftliche/r Mitarbeiter/in)
 

You hold an excellent master’s degree and have completed a dissertation in the field of sustainable mobility or related areas and have experience with quantitative and/or qualitative research methods. Diverse disciplines are invited to apply (such as urban and transport planning, engineering, geography, sociology, social science). You are ready to work together with a diverse group of highly committed young researchers and to actively develop our research, teaching and publications. You are happy to carry out administrative tasks, which support the group in its daily business.  Together with interesting partners, you are committed to designing and promoting an interdisciplinary research program in the area of sustainable mobility and transport. Excellent social skills are mandatory, as well the capacity to communicatie and network in English (the mobil.LAB working language). German language skills or the willingness to acquire these are expected. Professional experience in the field of urban planning and transport, social science based mobilities research and urban governance processes and decision making are also appreciated. Candidates with experiences in academic work, publishing, supervision and international collaboration are specifically invited to apply.  The position is entitled as a full time employee (german pay scale TV-L 13). This includes a teaching assignment of 2,5 hours per semester week.
